BLOG ENTRY 2 - CLIL CONTEXT

Nowadays, the curriculum is the most important tool for teacher to guide the learning of their pupils, because it shows us the road to get the “total education”. 

But, what happen if we haven’t it? Can we get a good education system?

In my opinion, no. I think that we need a reference to do a similar work in all the schools but, if we haven’t it, I would try that my pupils have so much real experiences that they can in the sports and health word.

I would teach Physical Education using like a axis of subjects the different sport world evens of this year, and connecting it whit all the subjects.

For example: If this year will be an Olympic Games , we try to work the sports of it, but we try to know the traditions, history, culture and language of the host country. In this work, we have to get that the focus of the learning and the assessment, using self-assessment or assessment in pairs, groups.

BLOG ENTRY 1 - ELP

ELP (European Language Portfolio) has three important components: a language passport, a language biography and a dossier to work the language skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading).

In my opinion and taking into account my personal teaching experience, the ELP could be positive or negative for my students. Using the ELP with my group has some points positives. For example:

• Is very motivational because promote linguistic and cultural experiences out of classroom.
• My students live a lot of experiences about their learning process looking for information, Knowing traditions, cultures and some ways to think different of their.
• We work with them their capacity to self-assessment, which is one of the best positive points.

In the other hand, it`s possible that all this advantages don´t be for all the students and, who have difficulties whit this system, haven´t a good learning experience or don´t use the self-assessment with responsibility.

I conclusion,  the best advantage of ELP is that they can increase their learning process, because gives value to formal and non-formal learning in to the school and out of it. So I think that is a good tool to work with them.
